Something Special About Common Numbers

Numbers are so common that we are hardly aware how often we use numbers in a single day. We use numbers the moment we wake up in the morning when the alarm clock starts ringing at five (5) oclock in the morning, clock is numbers. And then we have morning rush and started estimating how much time we have left to finish everything that needs to be done before we leave, like taking the shower, drinking the coffee, all of these chores is about time, which is numbers. How many spoons of sugar to put in your morning coffee, thats dealing with number. How fast you drive, are you below speed limit in your driving so that you wont get a speeding ticket? You are dealing with numbers. Pay this, pay that, these are dealing with money, money is all about numbers. We deals with numbers more often than we are even aware of. But as common as they are, each number is unique in their own way. One obvious uniqueness is that each number will either be more or lesser than the other one. But for many mathematicians, engineers, scientists, algebra enthusiasts, most of them see numbers the same way we all do and also in a whole different ways that common people sometimes are not even aware of. In a different perspective, find out what are so unique about most of the most common numbers that we use daily in: What is Special About This Number?

The Planets Around Us

For a non-scientist person like me, i dont know so much other planets, surrounding the earth and are widely spread in an endless universe. But there are some people that study these planets deeply and have vast knowledge about them. Day by day, most of us are busy with our day to day lives and its not always that we think about the other planets out there. If you will think about it, earth is a very small part of the universe, it is very interesting to even see a visual aide and images showing how little our planet earth really is in comparison to other existing planets. I remember when I was in grade school, we had these science visual aides of the existing universe showing the planets by scale. But it is hard to imagine how big the universe really is size-wise. Living here on earth, a lot of people who are not scientists hardly think about earth in comparison to other planets out there. Our planet is definitely a tiny part of the whole thing, check out The Size Of Our World web page at Rense website, and you will probably be amazed.

A Soapy Situation

Soap is something that we use everyday, day in and day out! But how much do you know about soap, is anyones guess, probably not much. Just as long as you can safely scrub it in your skin, make yourself clean and smelling fresh, for a lot of people thats how close we know about soaps. Did it ever cross your mind of making your own soap and/or asking what makes a soap?

I remember when I was in high school in our chemistry class, my group ended up making soap as our project. It was interesting to actually know the process of making one, and getting familiar of the ingredients that are added to the soap to make it a soap.

For those of you who are intrique and curious about soaps, how to make them and all, check out
Teach Soap website for plenty of information about it.

No More Time Guessing

If you know people all over the world, or have family and friends abroad, chances are you need to know their current time prior to calling them in the phone or chatting with them online. As a considerate fellow, it would be best to know the current time of your family/friend in the other part of the world prior to calling to make sure that you will not ring their phone at two (2) oclock in the morning and wake her/him up from her/hi sound sleep. But having clocks in your home with different time zones can be messy and can be somewhat confusing, but to avoid all these messy and confusing situation all together, why not utilized WorldTimeServer web site where they provide current time in any countries anytime of the day. With just a click of a mouse, you will virtually know the time of each particular country. So no more time guessing and no more time zone countings, i think WorldTimeServer is a great time source for everyone.

Deals For The Quick Ones

I never got the chance to buy anything from Woot website before because I guess my timing is always off, or probably I am not fast enough to grab the deals. Everytime I go to their web site, their deal for the day was always sold-out. They must have really great products at great prices because their daily products surely wont last everyday! So for those who love deals, I think Woot is a great store to check out, if you are quick enough to buy before they run out of stocks for the day.

For all those who havent tried or visited Woot site before, it is a exciting new online store that features and sells one type of product daily, one day, one deal, and mostly priced below retail value. They sell different types of products, one type per day. It is definitely a new way of online shopping at
Woot.

Organize and Share Your Styles

Have you ever experience browsing too many different online stores, checking out different products, and bookmarking such pages to your favorites so that you will be able to return to these sites next time? But then it is quite hard to remember which site you visited had what product, not to mentioned staring at an endless list of text listings in your favorites...If you have this deliemma, I think you will really like Stylefeeder, a site for easy remembering of items from different sites you visited, you can even save the product photos as well. At first, it may sound quite complicated to use but once you started using it, it is very helpful and will make online shopping a breeze. To get started with Stylefeeder, the site will give you a link to setup their program, and have the Stylefeeder button accessible in your internet browser, so that when you visit different sites, and like what you see, saving that item in the Stylefeeder is as easy as clicking the Stylefeeder button and the item will be recorded to your Stylefeeder account. So the next time you want to check that item again, just go to your Stylefeeder account, where you will see all your saved products that you found from different sites. I use and have my own Stylefeeder account as well, you can check my styles, and cool things i found online at my Stylefeeder.

Instant Fans for Your Photography

I can totally understand why Yahoo removed their Yahoo Photo service and concentrate more on their Flickr service. Flickr is a great magnet for many photographers out there, there are so many members ready to admire your work, if you will sign up and become a member as well. If you are photography enthusiast and would like to show your beautiful works to the world, one of the best place to do it is with Flickr web site, definitely. Where other members can leave comments to your pictures and you can freely leave comments to theirs as well. Personally, i think Flickr website has very user-friendly environment and fun to use.

Local Classified Ads Site

I recently found this new advertising site, Kijiji, which is an eBay company. I like this site because it offers classified ads by cities. And it limits advertisers to post ads locally and they can only post ads to one location. I personally think that the site is well-designed, simple, very user-friendly. Very easy to locate your particular location or desired city with all the browsing options that the web site provides like interactive mapping, drop down menu, and zip code search. Web link to Kijiji website.
