Complicated Everyday Roads

One obvious situation that most highly-industrialized countries have in common is the existence of complex road systems. Complicated road systems, specially in major metropolis, are being utilized inorder to accomodate the ever growing numbers of transportations that being used by each of the family residing in such places, as well as all the visitors and tourists that come to visit the place.

Most roads that are being built in different countries or cities are quite unique from each other. The uniqueness and characteristic of each roads are being deisigned inorder to catter to the unique need and problem of each place, where the road is placed. Almost no roads, specially major intersections, are ever designed exactly the same. Some roads may have the same mechanism and engineering technicality but may differ in number of exits or lanes depending on how many other roads are around it. Some roads are specially designed and engineered to withstand the weather or the type of environment that is unique to that particular place.

Many of us may have used major intersections and roads in different countries or cities on regular basis, but may not be aware how complex these roads really are until we see them in aerial views.

Test Your Reading Skill

I learned English from school, and it is only a secondary language where I grow up. So I interacted with people around me in our dialect and the only way I learned English was through our school, where it was part of our curriculum. I remember that I had a hard time with the English reading comprehension activity we had at school. I did so much better in mathematics, that is why I took engineering course in college. Back in my elementary days, sometimes (not always) I used to read a whole paragraph in English and could not fully comprehend the whole message. I should say though that I am a lot better with my reading comprehension than how I did back then, during in my elementary days.

What about you, how is your reading skills? Check out this reading test today.

Sometimes we, the people, are so caught up and so dependent with all kinds of new technologies and automatic machines that we somehow forgot how powerful and complicated our minds really are. All these complicated and complex machines and technologies that we grow to depend on are just few examples of the outputs or results of human minds at work, and that they are non-existent if not for the brilliance of the human minds creating them in the first place.

A human mind is so complex that it may be impossible to comprehend and determine the maximum capability of a human mind, if there is even a way to determine its limitation. Try this simple reading test for a quick yet interesting exercise to see the amazing capability of your mind. Good luck!

Seeing Our World Breath

As technology progresses like the internet, the ones completed and hard to get information all in one place is now quite possible and easily accessible online for anyone to see. Before, it would be almost impossible for many of us to see how our world evolves on a daily basis. We maybe aware that every second a new baby is born, but it was quite hard to figure out in an instant how many new borns and how many deaths occured in a given time. And with the growing concern of global warming and Carbon Dioxide emission, we can now also visually see online a live graphic presentation of CO2 emission as presented by BreathingEarth website, where they provide some interesting data about new baby borns, deaths and CO2 released into the atmosphere. Seeing how quick the population grows and get deducted is interesting, and the CO2 data is quite alarming, hopefully we could do something to minimize the CO2 being release.

Peace and Harmony Is Achievable

A great way to start the New Year is to pray and hope for peace and harmony among humans and nations. It is not pleasant when there is war, there is fightings, and chaos around you. Why do humans fight against each other? Why cant we have peace instead of war? Why cant we all get along instead of hurting each other? Why cant we just love each other instead of hating each other? So many questions why. Why do we turn against each other instead of living in harmony and peace together?

Peace and harmony might not be the easiest to achieve, because of things like pride, power, and whatever other reasons that hinders everyone from achieving a better and harmonios living with each other. But it is something that is possible, achievable and can be done, given the time, the willingness and the desire to make it happen.

Co-existings animals in different species all around us are perfect example of the fact that no matter how different we can be, how unique each individual is, we can still find peace and harmony from each other, if we allow it to happen. Check out the message and lesson that we can definitely learn from all the animals around us at Lets Be Friends blog.

Happy New Year 2008 and may we all strive and work towards a more harmonious and peaceful world!
